De afwezige beeldenroute

Als reactie op de toenemende bronsroof en de bezuinigingen van de landelijke overheid op het gebied van kunst en cultuur maakte ik 10 voetstukken voor fictieve, verdwenen kunstwerken.
De lege sokkels in deze 'Verdwenen Beeldenroute' voorzag ik van titels, opdrachten en namen van verzonnen personen. Drie van de sokkels dienden als staafgrafiek met statistische gegevens over kunst die verdwenen is en kunst die nooit gemaakt zal worden.
Route along empty pedestals of sculptures. As a response to increasing bronze theft and the budget cuts made by the national government in the cultural field, I made 10 pedestals for fictional, missing works of art. For these empty plinths I wrote titles, assignments and names of imaginary people. Three of the pedestals served as a bar chart with statistics on art that has disappeared and art that will never be made.
