The group exhibition DATA in Nieuwe Vide in Haarlem was a project based on the impressive Spaarnestad Photo Archive. Pictures from the archive and the conception that dark thunderclouds could easily be old, black and white clouds, were the starting point for the work. Using exciting fragments of sky from the collection I pieced together an image of a new sky above the archive. The collage which emerged was then re-submitted to the archive, with the opening date of the exhibition as the title. To view the collage, click on the adjacent image space.
